A method for controlling timing of events in a microfluidic analytical devicemicrofluidic device and a timer microfluidic analytical devicemicrofluidic device The method comprises adding a liquid on a first end of a microfluidic analytical devicemicrofluidic device at a first time t0, the liquid flowing by capillarity towards a second end; producing, by a battery (12) included in the microfluidic analytical devicemicrofluidic device, energy from a second time tstart until a third time tend to feed an auxiliary device (16) connected to the battery (12), said tstart corresponding to the moment when the liquid contacts the battery (12); using a delivery energy time interval toperation of the battery (12) comprised between a time ton in which a voltage output of the battery (12) is above a threshold and a time toff in which the voltage output is below the threshold to control the duration of an event including a selective activation and deactivation of said auxiliary device (16), wherein the battery (12) being sized and composed to provide a given amount of energy.

A multi-layered band and a method for manufacturing a multi-layered band The multi-layered band comprises a support (1) configured to hold at least one battery structure (10) formed by a plurality of overlapped layers including a porous material (11), and two electroactive electrodes (12, 13), one oxidizing (12) and one reducing (13), separated at a certain distance between them and in touch with said porous material (11). The battery structure (10) is configured to be activated upon the addition of a fluid into a given region of the porous material (11) and to provide electrical energy while said fluid impregnates by capillarity the porous material (11). The overlapped layers are constituted by parallel strips extending longitudinally along the length of the support (1), such that said multi-layered band can be cut transversally providing individual batteries of a same or different width each including the porous material (11) and the two electroactive electrodes (12, 13).

The present invention relates to a method for tuning the magnetic coercivity of a nanoporous film, a device and uses thereof. The method comprises: - providing a thick nanoporous film having a thickness above 10 nm and an average nanopore wall thickness, at least regarding the interstitial separation between nanopores measured along at least one plane, which is below 15 nm; and - subjecting said thick nanoporous film to an electric field to vary its magnetic coercivity by voltage-inducing changes in the magnetic anisotropy thereof. The device comprises a thick nanoporous film and a voltage source to vary the magnetic coercivity of the thick nanoporous film by voltage-inducing changes in the magnetic anisotropy thereof, according to the method of the present invention. The invention also comprises the use of the device of the invention as a component of a magnetic device actuated with voltage.

La presente invención se refiere a un dispositivo de detección electroluminiscente que comprende una estructura de emisión inferior (BES, del inglés “Bottom-Emission Structure”) y a un dispositivo de detección electroluminiscente que comprende una estructura de emisión superior (TES, del inglés “Top-Emission Structure”), que en lugar del electrodo superior de pantallas ACEL convencionales comprende una capa de detección (SB, ST) hecha de un material que tiene una conductividad que cambia cuando se expone a un analito a detectar y en un grado que depende de la concentración del analito. Se pueden detectar diferentes tipos de analitos con el dispositivo de detección electroluminiscente de la presente invención, incluyendo vapor de agua en aire, para detectar humedad, alcohol, o analitos específicos que se pueden detectar con un polímero impreso molecularmente (MIP, del inglés “Molecularly Imprinted Polymer”) procesado para tener afinidad con los mismos.
