Computer implemented method, system and computer programs for locating a user equipment using an unmanned aerial vehicle

PCT/EP2024/057715The present invention generally relates to Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). More specifically, the invention relates to a computer implemented method, to a system and to computer programs for tracking user equipment(s) using a UAV.Every year millions of lives are lost in emergency situations. Finding missing people in the shortest possible time is the most effective tool to reduce such a death toll. However, this is challenging when victims are unable to communicate by themselves, located in large areas and/or difficult to reach. Time is one of the most important factors when it comes to saving lives in emergency situations. However, emergencies usually cannot be anticipated well in advance and thus are the most dangerous and difficult situations to hancle in order to avoid having mortal victims. A first key step towards reducing the human lives toll in emergency situations is rapidly localizing victims.
